Art and Stuff

Last Sunday Henry and I went to a local art gallery for their weekly Awesome Art craft.  The studio's project that week was called "Scribbly Flower".

Henry thought way outside of the box on his final art project...

 

 

Oops, what happened to Henry's "Scribbley Flowers"?   

 

He made a monster truck instead (I forgot to take a pic on Sunday).  He made it all by himself too. 

He made the wheels by tracing the masking tape roll.  He really liked the pipe cleaners and had to figure out how to incorporate those into his creation.  The art teacher was happy to see his creativity.

 

More Art!

One night, once a month Henry's school has a Family Reading night program from 6 - 7 pm.  We have never been before and I usually pick him up before it starts.  This time I arrived to pick Henry up after 6 and since the program had begun, Henry did NOT want to leave.  So, we stayed.

First, Ms. Amy read Pete the Cat.

 

Then the kids got crafy and...

Ta da, Henry made his own Pete the Cat.  We hope Lily and Jimmy like him.

It was a nice little program.  We'll have to see if we can work them into our schedule in the future.

It was pajama day at school that day.

"Art and Stuff"

On Wednesday night Henry ate his first Wings, boneless wings. 

 

Henry's school was having a fundraiser and they showcased some canvas paintings made by each classroom at Buffalo Wild Wings.  We happily went out for dinner that night to show our support.  We invited Papaw too since Wednesday nights are Papaw and Joe's usual Wing Night when they go out for wings. 

 

Henry and some of his classmates were having a good time wandering from table to table throughout the restaurant.

 

You gotta have celery and blue cheese with your wings.  Henry doesn't usually eat celery, it must be the blue cheese.

 

Henry even let me take a picture with a couple other "Wing Nuts"!  Ms. Amy, the school's Principal and Ms. Erin, the school's Vice Principal were happy to finally make it on our blog.

On our way to Buffalo Wild Wings Henry was excited.  He asked if he could get wings.  Then he told me you can watch basketball there and many other sports.  Apparently, you can also play video games right at your table on their in-house tablets.  A growing trend for sure.  It definitely distracts guests from really noticing how long it takes their food to arrive.
