Let it snow...

...and snow and snow and snow!  Then deep freeze, then "warm" up some only to snow again and throw some really strong winds in there too and repeat!  Polar vortex and artic blast are a couple of phrases we have heard quite often around here this winter.  I couldn't imagine living out East considering how much snow they get each year, ugh!

Henry loves the new coloring book our friends gave him.
We love the lions he traced at school and then colored.
Lot's of time has been spent at his craft table lately.

Today it was finally "warm" enough to play in the snow for a little bit.

Another batch of snow that is NOT good snowman snow!

Henry enjoyed being pulled around on his sled.

We've had a really big snow drift in our backyard for awhile! We had to walk in it.  Not sure how much snow we got this time but some areas we walked through were up to my knees, yikes!

Pure winter fun!

Ahhh, nice and warm with some hot cocoa.

Ahhh, Jimmy is keeping cozy and warm too this winter.

Henry is really looking forward to the big game tomorrow.  He doesn't call it the Super Bowl.  He asked Joe earlier this week if he could maybe watch it until halftime.  We agreed that would be enough for him, then it will be time for bed.  I doubt he'll sit down and watch much of it anyways.  Joe is going to make some chili and get a couple fun snacks at the store for our "big game party".

Go BRONCO's!!!

PS.  I think I finally figured out how to add the cool and SUPER EASY COMMENTS section (like my sister Jennie's) to our blog!  Please test it out!  I know we have a lot of fans out there still!

  1. I'm cheering for the Broncos too. We're making mummy hot dogs and soft dough pretzels. Glad you got to enjoy the snow for a bit.

  2. Polar vortex must be a "new" weather term. I don't remember hearing that one when we were kids. I do remember Canadian cold fronts and telling Dad they could keep their cold fronts.
