Artic Blast

We have been stuck inside quite a few days already this winter.  As a result we are continuing to keep busy with inside activities.

Due to the extreme temperatures/artic blast, many schools in the area were closed early last week.  Joe and I stayed home with Henry one day each.  Thanks again to Papaw and Nana for helping out too.  The day I was home with Henry, he told me he was going to read all of his books.  He really only "read" a few books, it was a pretty ambitious goal for the day.

 

Later, Henry built a triple decker garage with a really tall "chim-dee" which he later called a tower.

 

Lily has been keeping warm and cozy too.

After a day of fun at Papaw and Nana's due to his school being closed, Henry was worn out.  I think he was asleep before we left their subdivision.  I took this pic when we got home.  Do you notice something different????  Yes, those are fuzzy dice hanging, Domo dice.  Henry and Daddy gave them to me last year.  I really like them but I don't like them hanging from my rear view mirror, too distracting.  So, I hung them up for Henry instead.  The dice are not the answer to the something different question, above...

 

Henry has moved up to a booster seat, woohoo!  It is FANTASTIC to not have to deal with a car seat anymore.  It's great to be able to easily move his seat from one car to another too.  Plus, Henry enjoys feeling more like a big kid now.  It was weird at first looking back and seeing Henry sitting up straight and not so confined.

 

Aha, we escaped on Saturday morning and ran a bunch of errands.

I'm surprised I kept the camera fairly still during this video.  The first couple times I watched Henry do jumping jacks I couldn't keep from laughing.  The lack of coordination was just too funny.
