This was the first year we decorated eggs with Henry.

Henry kept asking what was inside of the eggs? He didn't get it. Later we ate one and he liked what was inside.
This year we went to the Easter family fun event at Mooseheart.

Henry waiting in line for his1st face painting. He did quite well waiting in line for almost 40 minutes. We cut it very close to the start of the Easter Egg hunt which would have ended up not being so bad...!

After the face painting, we literally ran to the football field which has brand new stadium-field turf to join the crowd for the Easter Egg hunt. We found the 2-4 year old section and waited amongst the large crowd. When the egg hunt or race as I call them started Henry did not budge. He did not want to go...such is the life with a 3 year old. So, we turned away empty handed. There was a lot of people there, we think this overwhelmed Henry. Better luck next year...!
On Easter morning, Henry enjoyed his own Easter egg hunt at home.
He actually had to HUNT for the Easter eggs too.

Joe and I both had Good Friday off (company holiday, woohoo) so that made for a nice long weekend.
He is so happy about his chocolate bunny! Too funny that he wouldn't run out there for the egg hunt. I bet it was overwhelming. Your colored eggs look very nice.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised he like the boiled eggs. I bet he doesn't skip the egg hunt next year. Once he figures out there is usually candy in the eggs laying all over, he will be out there with the rest of the kids.

ReplyDeleteAlex and Emma went to an interesting one this year. It was a flashlight egg hunt held on Friday night. They had fun looking for eggs, but were bummed when the eggs didn't have any candy. It was all silly tattoos and flower bracelets. That was a let down, but I think they still had fun.
