Random Happenings!

Wow, March is flying right by...although it isn't going very warmly!
On the first day of spring the high was in the 20's, yikes!

A few silly monkey's!

We can't complain about not getting to play in any snow this winter.
Henry was really amused that his feet and legs were disappearing when he tried to walk in the snow.

We still haven't taken Henry sledding or built a snow family with him.
I'll gladly wait until next winter to cross those items off Henry's wish list.

Who does Henry look like?

An Executive?
A Professor?
An IT guy?
Or
A Quaker Salesman?

Stay tuned this is what we dressed Henry in for his Spring school pictures!
At first Henry did not want to wear the tie.  When I picked him up from school that day, to my great surprise he was still wearing his shirt and tie.  One of the teachers said he was pretty adamant about NOT changing his shirt that day.  Hahaha, love it!

Mary (almost 1.5 yrs) and her favorite Aunt!

I escaped for a weekend of fun with the girls.  We celebrated my middle sisters 40th birthday in St. Louis.  My oldest sister even flew in from California for the occasion.  6 of our girl cousins on my Mom's side of the family also drove down to celebrate.  We had a great time.  Jennie did a fantastic job planning the weekend o' fun.

We took an art class and made pretty spring wreaths!

We split into 2 groups and were challenged to compete in a St. Louis Amazing Race.  We had 2 hours to take pictures of at least one team member in front of each place.  We had to alternate who was in the pictures.
Here's 3 of my 4 team members in front of Busch Stadium.
SA-WING BATTA!

My whole team, my sister Julie, cousins Marsha and Melissa and I!  We were the team with all the oldest members but that didn't slow us down since we WON!  The losers had to buy the winners lunch.  We ate at an Italian Deli/Bakery. We had to take a picture of all of us at the bottom of the Arch.  Ahh, very sneaky, Jennie.  Since we can all get plenty of pictures of the Arch from many places in St. Louis.

Julie's daughter wondered what we did all weekend since we never went swimming, shopping or watched any TV, hahaha!  We were busy.  Oh, yeah did I mention that our hotel had a FREE HAPPY HOUR?  We got a nice view of the whole city at a Rooftop Bar on Friday night.  Luckily, it was still pretty warm out after reaching 70 degrees that day.

Jennie, Julie and Jalene

The 3 of us all together, this doesn't happen too often.

Thanks, Jennie for the AWESOME weekend of fun.
The restaurants and bars you picked were great too, especially the Chocolate Bar.

Mmm...this was the best Strawberry Shortcake I have ever had!  Anything that includes Chocolate Ganache is super delicious in my world!  Jennie and Julie's Chai-tini's were super tasty too.

Who's turning 40 next...we can't wait to celebrate again!

  1. Looks like you had a fun time at Jennie's party. The only people missing were the Moms who started it all.
