On Monday, Henry went in for his 3 year well check-up, only it turns out he wasn't so well. He caught a cold late last week and apparently it turned into a slight case of pneumonia. Poor guy! He had pneumonia back in January of this year as well. He didn't have a temperature or show any other signs of being more sick, so we just thought he had a regular ol' cold. His Dr. heard some wheezing in his right lung when she listened to it. She must be a good listener since Henry was busy singing his ABC's and Hotdog-Hotdog-Hot-Diggity Dog while listening to his heart, etc. Well, we will really watch how he's breathing now whenever he gets a "cold". He goes back on the 1st for a re-check and hopefully he will be well enough to get his flu shot.
Henry's 3 year old stats:
Weight: 32.6 lbs, 75% vs 2 yrs: 28 lbs
Height: 38", 75% (Woohoo, he's over 3 feet tall!) vs. 2 yrs: 35.1"
BP: 98/56 (good)
Henry knows the drill. He sits on the couch like a good boy while he has his nebulizer treatments. He either reads books or watches some TV. Then he reminds Joe and I that after breakfast and dinner he gets his pink medicine. Mmm...that pink stuff does smell yummy. He has been in good spirits and eating well so luckily this 'bout of pneumonia hasn't really slowed him down much.
After Henry's birthday, we went to the outlet center to get him some new shoes with some of his birthday money.
Henry was excited to see this car in front of the outlet center.
Of course we couldn't keep passing all these rides by.
Henry with his new shoes. Yes, they are race cars and they light up. We didn't know they lit up until he walked in them. Then we had to get those shoes. They were on sale so we got a great deal.
Henry was definitely excited about his new shoes; since the next day at school he showed his teachers and would stomp his foot to show how they light up.
Does this look like a kid with pneumonia? This was the day before his well check.
Playing in the leaves while out for a fall stroll.
Good idea Joe, taking this picture!
Henry with the tiger that we took all of his monthly pictures with, during his first year of life!
Henry-One Month!

He looks pretty healthy to me. Glad it didn't get any worse, you just never know. Light up shoes are the best!
ReplyDeleteThe picture of him with the nebulizer just makes you want to give him a hug.
