Ready for Take Off!

Last Sunday we went to the Calvacade of Planes show again. Henry really enjoyed it last year and it's a great event that's not too far, large or crowded and it only costs a few buck to get in. We had slightly cooler weather this year so that was a bonus too.

This year Henry sat in two airplanes which he still talks about.

"Hi, I'm Hank and I will be your pilot today!"

While at the airplane show we found a few other things that really interested Henry...
A FIRETRUCK!
We never pass up an opportunity to sit in a fire truck. Henry, still talks about "driving" this fire truck. Tonight, he told me, "it didn't really work". I said, "nope, it was just parked their for all to enjoy."

The next non-airplane item we saw is also one of Henry's favorites a

JEEP!
Too bad we couldn't let him sit in this one.

Henry told us he didn't want to get out of his stroller for a picture by this airplane because it's doors weren't open! Little stinker!

Next, we headed over by the bi-planes to take a closer look.
This plane was just taxing by so it could get ready for some fly-bys! The Pilot even waved at Henry!

We all really liked the fly-bys! Henry's comments were that they were very LOUD and in between each one he wanted them to do it again!

Maybe next year Henry will get to take a ride in this airplane!

Or we could ride in this one, how silly!
I think Henry would be more excited to be pulled around by a tractor.

Afterwards, we were going to take Henry to Choo-Choo Johnny's for lunch but he literally fell asleep within minutes of being in the car. The restaurant was only 5 minutes away in Naperville. I don't think Joe was to upset with the alternative...geting $1.25 tacos from El Famous Burrito. Now, we'll have to make a special trip out that way again to take Henry to the train restaurant but it will totally be worth it.

  1. I want to go to the train restaurant too. Good idea to never pass up a chance to sit in a fire truck. You never know when the next chance will be! Henry's comment about the plane doors being shut cracks me up.
