Last Saturday after going to the Spring Fair at Henry's school the fun did not stop there...next we went to pick up Papaw H. to go to a
Touch A Tractor event hosted by the Kane Country Farm Bureau.
The first tractor Henry picked to climb up on was this classic old tractor.
Henry was very excited to climb up and inside of this tractor.
Papaw H. and Henry. I think Papaw wanted a turn!
Luckily, it did not rain on us while we were there.
Joe and Henry climbed aboard the Sprayer. Henry liked running under this tractor too.
WHOA, this Combine tractor was HUGE, especially when you are standing next to it.
Henry still talks about the BIG combine tractor.
You couldn't sit inside of this one but Papaw and Henry still had fun climbing up on it.
This old 1949 Farmall "H" tractor looks a lot more manageable for Henry.
It looks like Henry is telling Papaw how this tractor works.
The Touch A Tractor event would not be complete without a few farm animals to pet.
Henry also really liked the corn-box which consisted of a sandbox filled with corn.
Inside the Farm Bureau building there were a few other activities and some baby chicks that you could see and pet one too. Kids could color a picture of a tractor or work on various puzzles. With some help, Henry got a few pieces done on a big floor puzzle. There was also a lot of literature about the local farming area.
We ended up having lunch there too since it was past lunch time when we were done checking everything out. You can't really beat $3 for a hot dog, chips and a drink or $4 for the hamburger option.
On our way out, we saw where they had little peddle tractors you could ride around in part of the parking lot. Next year, Henry will be the perfect age for that. This is an annual event and best of all it's FREE!
When we got home Henry took a 4 hour nap! Wow, the spring fair at his school and the tractor fun wore him out!

Looks perfect for Henry. But it needs a little yellow!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Isn't it funny that he can run under one of the tractors? We've been to a place that had a whole playhouse full of corn that the kids could climb and jump in. It was very fun.
