Spring Fair

Last Saturday Henry's daycare had a Spring Fever Fair. We all had a good time. Each room had a different activity in it. Our first stop was Henry's regular room which was probably a mistake to go to first. It was the cupcake decorating room. Each kid decorated two little cupcakes and then they got to eat them.

Henry didn't take long to decorate them but the eating part took forever. One of his classmates came in while Henry was still eating and she decorated and ate her cupcakes before Henry finished. Although, once he saw Autumn finish, he quickly ate up his cupcakes too.

Apparently, Autum and Henry are buddies. Autumn's Mom said Autumn always talks about Henry. It must be a girl thing since Henry doesn't really talk about any of the kids in his class. We have to ask him questions about them. We've been told by the teachers that Henry and Autumn have a "love /hate" relationship. They have both been involved in marker wars with each other. One night when I picked Henry up he had purple marker on and in his ear and other marks on his hands and arms and some on his back too. This issue seems to have been remedied as he as not come home with any other "war-like" marker marks on him.

The next room, Autumn and Henry met at the kite making table. See that chocolate milk next to Henry? We found that in another room that was giving away chocolate milk, regular milk and ice cream too. Not just some off brand either, it was the real deal, Oberweis...mmm...so good! Joe really liked that room. Henry had never had chocolate milk, neither had Autumn . What a fun treat that was for them. Of course, I helped Henry finish it since it was a pretty big milk for him.

Look what Henry was chasing down the hall at one point...

Mooooooooooo!
Do you see the nice heart tattoo Henry picked out in one room?
He still mentions that I washed off his heart tattoo during one of his baths this week. We left it on for a few days too. They had all kinds of different tattoos to pick from like sports ones, monsters, animals and our sweet boy picked a heart, aw!

Another room had a painting craft...I know we were worried about the mess at first too.

They painted some with a paint brush and then the fun part came. They closed up the box and shook it up with the painted golf balls inside, and "Voila" a beautiful piece of artwork was created.
Way to go Henry, picking out Packers colors!

Another room's activity was soccer.

Henry did quite well in here. He kicked the ball really well even at the targeted cones.
Soon enough he'll be burning off all that kid energy playing soccer.

After the fair, we headed over to Papaw & Nana H.'s house to pick up Papaw (Nana had a bad cold) to go to a another super fun event for Henry...stay tuned for details...!

  2. I'm sure this will not be Henry's last Love/Hate relationship with a girl : ) I can't wait to hear what fun event you went to with Henry's Papaw!
