Corn Boil Fun

On Saturday, we enjoyed the beautiful but slightly chilly weather at our towns annual Summer festival, the Corn Boil.

Henry's school had a booth there this year, that was our first stop.  Henry got tatted up with a butterfly tattoo and a bulldozer tattoo.  We thought it was funny he wanted the tattoos on the inside of his arms.

Later we met up with our neighbor friends again, the ones we went to the Cougars game with a week ago.  Henry and I enjoyed eating corn on the cob with lots of real butter...mmmmm

...soooooo good!

Henry enjoyed his FIRST carnival ride on a car merry go-round!
Of course this would be his first Carnival ride.

Henry also had fun playing his first carnival game.  It was a game where everybody wins a prize.  His prize options were a small stuffed animal, a sword and a trumpet.  Guess what Henry picked...

a trumpet, we should have guessed!

Henry also played a couple of free games in the kid zone, played on the school playground and climbed on a tractor.  There wasn't a book sale this year.  :(

Afterwards, we went home and we all took naps!  We had to wake Henry up after almost 2.5 hours so he wouldn't ruin his chances of a good nights sleep.  Before and after dinner we played outside.  We had to keep on taking advantage of the unseasonably cool weather.

Later, that night we had a perfect view of the annual fireworks right at the beginning of our street.  We watched them with 4 other neighbors, it was a full fun day.
