Busy, busy, busy we all are during this time of year.
We did squeeze in some time to bake and decorate Christmas cookies.
We dressed appropriately for the big Packers vs. Bears game.
Once again the Packers came out on top, woohoo!
We had to remind Henry to not use all his decorations on one cookie.
All done!
Joe captured Henry singing the 12 Days of Christmas...Henry's version:
Later, Henry told Joe that, that song was a very long song.
The Christmas kitty returned...
Lily loves sitting under the tree each year.
It's a great hiding spot for her from her "siblings", Jimmy and Henry.

Henry's special Christmas cookie.
For the past couple of weeks, Henry's class at school has been traveling around the world and learning how others celebrate their holidays. Today, they continued their "stay" in Canada. Henry came home with a green beaded necklace and this fancy mask....
Henry's class was celebrating the Mummer holiday. Here's an excerpt from the "What we learned today" email I receive everyday that includes more details about the Mummer celebration:
It is also our Mummer celebration. This is a Canadian holiday. People dress in a mask, play music and sing songs. During the celebration, cupcakes are eaten. Two cupcakes will have jelly beans inside. The person who finds the jelly bean inside the cupcake is crowned king and queen of the celebration. After nap, we will dress as mummers and eat cupcakes. Two friends will be crowned during our celebration.

Kids love putting all the decorations on one cookie. Very crunchy cookies and yummy too. That is the first time I've heard of the Mummer celebration. Learn something new every day.
