We spent Christmas Eve with Joe's family at his aunt's house in St. Charles. It was nice to see Joe's brother and his family since we missed them at Thanksgiving this year. Henry always has a good time with his cousins.

Henry was kind of quiet at first but by the end of the night he got pretty hyped up (chatting and running around)...he didn't eat many sweets or much of anything really since he wasn't feeling the greatest.

Mmm...we ate well. We had stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes and beef brisket. I've never had stuffed cabbage before and I must say it was pretty good.

| I loved Aunt Debbie's pretty white Christmas tree. |
A Christmas Eve tradition, for many I'm sure, is to watch The Christmas Story movie. TBS usually makes this pretty easy since they play it over and over for 24 hours. I guess Henry really liked it...
Henry wanted to get back to the movie, rather then take another picture.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
Whoa, what did Santa (or a gnome) bring Henry this year....
 |
Yes, we stayed up late on Christmas Eve putting this together.
By the time I put the stickers on, it was Christmas morning.
Henry loves it. When you put the frying pan on the burner it sizzles and
when you put the pot on it, it boils. What fun! His favorite is the microwave and
the phone on the side of the cupboard. We've already enjoyed a lot of meals and drinks.
Joe thinks the kitchen has an interesting layout, a fridge under a sink?
Hmm...what else did Santa bring?
Poor Henry, since he's turned two his new pattern is to get sick on the holidays (but he skipped Thanksgiving). We knew Henry was not feeling well, when he had all these new toys and things to play with but he'd rather take a nap on the couch. He would go in spurts. He would play for a little while then run over to the couch and lay down. Poor, guy. |

When Daddy opened his Poppycock (annual gift), Henry thought it was another drum.
He quickly looked around for his drumsticks to test it out.
We hope everybody enjoyed their Christmas traditions/celebrations this year!
Happy New Year! |
I love all of your Christmas photos! Henry looked like he had a great Christmas season, minus being a bit sick :(
