Henry's ONE!

Look out, we have a toddler in the house now!

Henry's 12 month check-up stats are:
Weight: 19 lbs and 13 oz (only 10%) but he is healthy, just a little guy!
Length: 29.7" (50%)
Head Circum.: 18.3 (50%)

Check out the slideshow to see how much Henry has grown in the past year...

To Mommy's great dismay, Henry no longer nods his head YES. Now it's more of a whole circle or NO approach.

Henry is NOT walking yet but he is getting very close. He loves to push anything that moves while standing such as strollers, chairs, big trucks, etc.
He has taken a couple of single steps but is still quite happy "cruising" the furniture and crawling.

Henry's 4th first molar tooth is poking through which takes his tooth count up to 12. Henry's Dr. was also surprised by the number of teeth Henry already has. His daughter is only 3 weeks older then Henry and she only has 2 teeth so far.

Jalene and her friend met for lunch a couple of times at the Morton Arboretum before her friend had to return to her teaching job. Henry and Liam (4.5 mths) must have called each other again since they both had on baby blue pants.

Hooray, Henry finally fell asleep in a stroller! This was after a "play-date" with Liam at the Morton Arboretum.

Henry is starting to imitate us and recognizes some things too.
- He loves the TV remote (has loved it for awhile) and goes for it any chance he gets. He even has an old "play" tv remote but he knows its not the real one. One time he managed to push some buttons that gave our TV spanish subtitles. He also loves our cell phones.
- If you stick out your tongue he will too.
- He loves to give High Fives!
- He knows where the lion is on the safari wall in his room.
- He also knows our cats names or when you refer to them as kitties.
- He also knows what a ball is but of course!

Every time Henry sees or hears a door he waves at it. He usually waves when we go through doors too. Last night he heard somebody say "good bye" on TV and he waved. He's really into waving lately and his wave has improved greatly since he first waved back in July at 9 months.

Birthday post coming soon...

  1. Isn't it amazing how much they grow and change in the first year? Looks like he'll be walking in no time.
