A SUPER Saturday!

Henry had an awesome and exhausting day last Saturday.

He started the morning, well late morning, off with soccer.
The Happy Feet program is offered through Henry's school so he knew a few of the coaches.  We signed him up for a league so he could play in Henry's words, "real soccer, outside!"  Coach Dee is Henry's coach.  The first 30 minutes they do drills and the last 30 minutes they play 3 vs.3.

Henry did pretty well.  He was pretty good at the "tunnel turn" during drill time.

Henry scored one goal for his team and kicked the ball the wrong way a couple of times, oops!
Henry did quite well as a goalie.
He blocked one ball by diving to the ground for it.  Way to go, Henry.  Henry said he blocked 5 balls.  Not bad for his first morning at "real" soccer.

After soccer we went home, changed real fast and headed over to one of Henry's friends house, Autumn, for her 5th birthday party.  Good thing the weather cooperated for this late summer birthday party because it was a ...
 POOL party!
Once Henry discovered the diving board he was all set.
 Kerplunk!
After one of Henry's best buddies saw Henry jumping off the diving board he was no longer afraid to do the same thing.
Alex and Henry had a blast.  Round and round they went jumping off the diving board.

It was tough to get these two out of the water for lunch and later for cake.

Henry even did a couple canon ball-like jumps after seeing a bigger kid do one.  One girl was doing flips and twists off the diving board, thankfully Henry did not try to duplicate her stunts.

After a while Henry was running off the diving board and starting with some silly stances as seen in this video:

Henry and another good friend, Nolan.  Silly boys!
Cupcakes will get most any kid out of the water.

After we finally got Henry out of the pool to go home he crashed pretty hard that night.
