First Day of Kindergarten!

Henry's 1st day of Kindergarten was on Monday.

Thanks to my college friend Jen for giving me the chalkboard idea after I read her blog update this week.  Her's was a bit fancier than mine though.

Before we left for school, Henry had to test out his backpack basketball hoop.  We warned him after he picked out this backpack that even after the hoop breaks he will still be using this backpack.  He said, "OOOOKAY!"  This was the backpack he really wanted.  It is pretty cool.

Jimmy and Lily were quite curious about the first day of school commotion.

Henry wondered why I was taking him to school with Daddy.  This year's transition is pretty easy for Henry since he's at the same school he's been at since age 2.  Next year will be the big transition for us all.
Our big boy now!

There are 3 girls and 4 boys in Henry's class.
All the kids will benefit greatly from the small class.

(Congrats to Ms. Megan who literally just got married.
Her new last name is complicated for young and old to say.)

Henry likes Kindergarten so far.  He has commented most about the homework he has already been assigned.  He is most confused about why he has to work on it while he is still at school (during after school care) rather than working on it at home.  When I picked him up today he was talking about how they will have a 100 day celebration.
