We have been busy attending Henry's friends birthday parties this month.
I think we have a little break now until we ramp up for some more friend birthdays.
Calvin's birthday was an outdoor/sports themed party. After lots of fun outside it was cake time.
Lyla's birthday party began with outdoor water fun.
There were a couple of bigger pools but apparently the boys were having fun in the kiddie pool.

Later at Lyla's birthday party a couple of special guests visited, Elsa & Anna.
Henry kept saying Olaf wasn't real. All the kids enjoyed singing a few songs from Frozen.
At Essence's birthday party another special guest visited, Ariel from the Little Mermaid. Ariel and the kids sang a few songs, played a few games and then you could take pictures with her but Henry was too busy playing to take any more pictures.
Summer Festival Fun
Henry has eaten one of these before...with some help from Papaw, Nana and cousin Alex B.
Henry rode his first roller coaster, a kiddie coaster. He is the 3rd seat back from the front. He looked pretty serious most of the time but had a few smiles too.
You can't go to a corn boil and NOT get corn. Mmm, real butter in squeeze bottles to "Dr" up your corn too. This was right before Henry's corn slipped out of his hands, oops. We promised we would get him another treat later...birthday cake Dippin' Dots made Henry happy again.
Henry did some fishin' and he...
...caught one nice fish, well 3 total, enough to earn him his own fish. He picked Nemo.
High fives all around!
Hog wild time.
After we got home, Henry and I went right back out to Papaw and Nana's. We always tease Papaw about winning a major award when he goes to car shows, but this time...
It really happened! His trophy measures in at 5'5" tall.
Papaw's 1936 Ford truck won for the Best Truck out of 600 cars/trucks at a car show in Sycamore on Sunday. Nana couldn't stop laughing about how tall the trophy is. Henry was quite amazed by the trophy and the fact that it is taller than Aunt Julie. We're not sure where Papaw will proudly display this ginormous trophy?

ReplyDeleteThe trophy will not be on the mantel!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, it would stand out too much on the mantel.
ReplyDeleteI love the kitchen sink truck, that is awesome! I cannot believe Dad's major award. Oh my goodness.
