Henry was finally the STAR of the Week this week in his class!
The questionnaire says:
My favorite color is: Orange
(This was the first time we heard orange was his favorite color, it's usually purple or pink.)
My favorite book is: Thomas
(That's pretty generic but he does really like trains.)
My favorite move is: Happy Feet
(He loves when the penguins dance.)
My favorite sport is: Basketball
(It took him awhile to answer this one.)
My favorite food is: Watermelon & Cheeseburgers
(His first answer was meatloaf...we've only had that a couple times. He's pretty adament about watermelon even though it's really only a summer fruit. He rarely doesn't eat a whole cheeseburger.)
My favorite school subject is: Science
(He really likes the sensory table.)
My favorite thing to do after school is: Eat dinner
(Hahaha, we loved this answer!)
When I grow up I want to be: Animal Doctor
(Hmm...this is something we have never asked Henry. His first answer was a Monkey! Then he later thought that he wouldn't grow a tail.)
I'll bet you didn't know that I can: Drive a boat, Papaw's pontoon boat!
(Henry loves to ride and drive Papaw's boat on the Mississippi River.)
Fun in the snow time!
We finally got some PACKING snow to play in. My office kindly closed early so we could all get home safely. A lot of people drive over an hour for their regular commutes to my office. It only took me an extra 20 minutes to get home. Woohoo, Henry and I had time to play in the snow before dinner. We didn't get much (up North they got a lot more) but it was enough to play in and for Henry and I to build a...
Snowman!
A baby snowman. It does have arms but they are tiny little branches from one of our bushes. Henry kept saying we had to wait for Daddy to build a daddy snowman. Then he said we had to build a mommy snowman, a sister snowman and a "brudder" (brother) snowman. Whoa, we definitely didn't have enough snow for a Snow Family. Maybe next time or better yet, we should head out east to play in the 2 to 3 FEET of snow they are predicting for that area this weekend. Yikes!
Henry was happy to help shovel the driveway.
Luckily, we don't have to worry about that since our association takes care of that!
Henry quickly moved on to the big pile of snow the bobcat left behind.
When I first got this sled out, Henry asked what it was.
Yup, Henry has never gone sledding. He's only 3 and we haven't had much snow or it's been super cold or he's been sick. Well, his first winter we did have 17+ inches of snow but he was pretty little and we didn't have a sled yet. He still hasn't really been sledding yet as I was just pulling him around the yard.
Winter fun aftermath. Look at those rosy cheeks!
You know you're from the midwest when you think 32 degrees feels warm. It really didn't feel that cold outside.

Watermelon and cheeseburgers? What a combo of favorite foods! I have to say, his "Eat dinner" answer has to be my favorite. He's really growing up!!!
ReplyDeleteBTW - I love the red scarf hat on your mini-snowman : )
Those little kid questions are the best, it is so fun to see what they say. And often very enlightening for the parents. One time Zack said he wanted to be an Olympic swimmer. That was news to me. Glad you got to play in the snow. Our sleds have been used about 5 times since I bought them LAST year.
