On Saturday, we enjoyed a visit to Blackberry Farm.
This weekend they had train exhibits, so of course we had to check them out.
There were two pretty big lego train displays and three other electric train displays. Henry liked the lego ones best since they always have characters he recognizes and lots of other neat things to look at.
In addition to the train exhibits Henry enjoyed:
- Riding the carousel three times
- His first pony ride with Chip
(I missed the best photo op- right when he first sat on the horse. He had a huge smile on his face.)
- Riding the Choo-Choo around the park twice - going through the tunnel was fun
- Seeing some pigs, goats, turkeys, ducks, a donkey and these chickens with fancy "shag" boots
We also rode on a big wagon pulled by a tractor, saw a working blacksmith, and ate a picnic lunch.
Mommy's turn to ride the carousel.
All aboard the Choo-Choo again!
One last ride on the carousel.
We only paid a small fee to get into the park and then we didn't have to pay extra for anything else; hence why we rode the carousel and the train multiple times. The train moved right along so it was a nice way to cool off too. They also had paddle boats you can take out and a large fishing pond too. We purposely went to the the farm right when it opened, before it got to hot and crowded.
