Enjoying Summer!

Henry's been enjoying his summer this year. Check out what we found on the way to do some errands:
Henry LOVES road rollers and these were the right kind too!
Henry thought we were at a Touch A Truck event, he wanted to climb up on one and "drive" it.

We enjoyed visiting with our nephew/(Henry's cousin) Alex (13 yrs) while he was in town for a 2 week visit from California. One night, Joe and I took Alex mini golfing and we got ice cream too. It was no surprise that Joe beat Alex and I in both rounds. Oh, well we all had fun and Alex and I improved greatly in the 2nd round.

Sitting in our box seats at the Kane County Cougars game. Cougars won 3 to 1, woohoo!
Right after the game, we enjoyed a nice fireworks show that the Cougars have quite often throughout the summer. 10 minutes of straight fireworks, short and sweet!

Today, we played in a big or as Henry says, "GRANDE" pool with our friends. Earlier this week Henry asked me if he could swim in his alligator pool again. I told him we were going to swim at Kelly and Jonathan's BIG pool. Henry got excited and said, "Kelly and Jonathan have a grande pool for me!" Then he wanted to know what color it was. He said, "red, maybe." It was cute.
Henry had a great time. At first he had a little trouble figuring out how to move around with his floatees. Floating on his back kind of scared him at first until he started kicking then he liked it.

Henry also learned about keeping his mouth closed so he wouldn't swallow quite as much water.

Heny and Jonathan had a grand ol' time in the pool.
Henry loved climbing on Jonathan and dumping water on him with his cup.
Some of the other kids in the pool liked playing around Jonathan too. One little girl even kissed his head, hahaha!

After Henry kept getting in and out of the pool when we first got there, we weren't sure how long he would last. After lunch Henry played in the pool for 1.5 hours straight and did not want to get out. Jonathan pretended to be sleepy so they had to get out of the pool. It worked this time! Needless to say, Henry was in bed by 7:30 tonight. Thanks K&J for letting us swim in your neighborhood pool.

ALOHA, from Henry!
