After almost 2 years of unemployment I have finally landed a great job, woohoo! Hence, why I have failed to update our blog sooner. It has been quite an adjustment getting up earlier in the morning (Henry's been "sleeping in" until 7:30 AM lately) and NOT seeing Henry all day. Henry's adjustment to "school" has gone pretty well. He really seems to enjoy it and he already has a good buddy. The daycare we take him to is organized like a school. They have teachers, a principal, a vice principal and students. I know it sounds so formal for an (almost) 2 year old doesn't it?

| Henry quite proud of his big line up! |
Henry has already learned so much in the 1.5 week that he has been in school. He's learning how to drink from a cup with no lid. Yikes, I don't know if I'm ready for that one yet since we have carpet under our kitchen table. He takes naps on a cot like a big boy. He picks up his toys. He's talking a lot more, including 2 word sentences now. He washes his own hands. He'll soon start to be potty trained. Oh, no our little boy is growing up too fast!
Henry still refers to himself as a "baby". It's pretty funny. When you ask him if he is a "big boy", he gets this goofy grin on his face and says, "BABY"! We always tell him he's a big boy or he's Henry but he does not agree, hahaha!
Now it's time for some FALL FUN:
We've had fun so far enjoying some fall activities.

How now brown cow? A local park district event at Peck Farms.

We went apple picking last weekend with a couple of our friends. This is one of our favorite things to do!
 |
| "Weeeeee" |
As usual we went home with over flowing bags of apples. Luckily, we had Henry's stroller! Mmm...I'm anxious to make a couple of yummy apple recipes now.
 |
Henry loves pumpkins! Wait until he cleans one out to carve!

Can you find Henry? Hi, Jonathan!
The Werth's |
On Sunday, while Papaw H. and Joe were at the Packers game, (WOOHOO, go PACKERS!) Henry, Grandma H. and I went to the Morton Arboretum! What a BEAUTIFUL day it was.
By the way, Joe was really excited to see in person, Aaron Rodgers best game ever and possibly the best game for a quarterback ever!

| Henry and I and a Gardening Scarecrow |
We walked around the lake a few times. The first time we had to check out all the very creative scarecrows that different organizations had made. Henry kept saying, "more" after we stopped to look at a scarecrow.

We let Henry loose in the super cool and fun children's section of the Arboretum. If you don't have a membership it's totally worth it to bring young kids to the Children's section of the Arboretum. It has so much neat stuff for the kids to explore and enjoy!
 |
| We had to entice Henry with a snack to get him to leave the kids section. |
We had a nice lunch looking out at the lake. Then we walked around the lake again. The weather was so nice we couldn't get enough of it.
 |
| Beautiful setting. |
Thanks Grandma for getting Henry and I into the Arboretum for FREE with your membership!
PS. My regular "editor" was already in bed when I posted this. So, if there are any glaring grammar errors this time that's why. Hahaha!
