Guess Who's 2?

Yup, Henry is officially a TWO year old now.

At Henry's 2 year check up he weighed in at 28 pounds and stands 35.1" high and his head measures at 19.2". He's in the 50% range with kids his age.

Before I go any further, I must mention one important thing.  It's a GIRL! Congrats to my sister Jennie and her family for adding a girl into the mix. Mary Margaret was born on October 6th. She will be a tough girl with 3 older brothers to fight with and protect her.

This year we celebrated Henry's birthday with a small family party.

Henry's new table & chair set from Papaw & Nana H.
It has 4 chairs total, enough for all of his "buddies".
Henry took an almost 4 hour nap before his party so he was a little crabby at first. One of Joe's aunt's suggested he open some presents right away. That was a great idea!

Once again the weather was unseasonably warm on Henry's birthday!
Henry loved the Winnie the Pooh bag and card he got from one of Joe's Aunt and Uncle. He really liked what was inside too. A Cub's hoodie and a "Good Night Construction Crew" book.

Henry liked all the new books he got for his birthday.

Great Grandma Werth & Henry reading a car book.
Time for cake! At first Henry wasn't too sure about all the singing and such...

Then the real fun began. Joe's uncle Mike was sitting across from Henry and he got him laughing and clapping it was so cute.

I wish I took a video of it since Henry kept doing it for so long.

On Henry's actual birthday he got sick. He ended up getting an ear infection. Only his 2nd one though so that's pretty good. Daddy stayed home with Henry for almost 3 days while Henry recovered.

Birthday gifts are continuing to trickle in.  Papaw & Nana H. delivered these from Aunt Jennie and her crew when they got back from seeing baby Mary.

Now when Henry gets gifts he says, "OPEN" and we can't do it fast enough!
Henry was too busy playing to look at the camera!
Grandma is such a great story reader! She really gets into the books and all the kiddos love it! Maybe she should volunteer at the library for story time.

Reading "Splat the Cat". I love those books.

  1. Happy Birthday Henry! The big 2. I know everyone says it but I still can't get past how quickly our kids are gowing up. If feels like you just announced it's a boy last year.
