We went to the Museum of Life and Science in Durham (we now know the proper way to pronounce this town -"Derm") with our friends Kelly and Jonathan. This ia a children's science museum and it was awesome, we highly recommend it to anybody visiting the Raleigh / "Derm" area with kids.
2 monkeys climbing up high in the Tree House Village section.
Henry could have spent most of the day in this section. There were slides, ladders, rope walls, rope bridges and of course really neat tree houses.
A tunnel in the "Sweet Gum Thicket" section.
This area was constructed entirely of woven sweetgum and red maple saplings.
Henry imitating a T-Rex while walking through the Dinosaur Trail.
We thought this giant leaf in the butterfly garden would be a perfect umbrella to protect Henry from the sun or rain.
Mmm, butterflies feasting on some delicious fruit.
Time to explore the Wild area.
This section was very well done.
There were walking paths or decks centered around a lake.
We saw various animals along the way.

We saw 3 black bears. Two of the bears were playing together while we stopped by.
I used my zoom lens a lot while we were exploring the Wild area.
Joe loves lemurs and Henry really liked them too.
We counted 7 of them high up in the trees.

Captain Hank!
We spent most of the day outside but there were also some neat indoor exhibits such as: Aerospace, Launch Lab, Contraptions, Math Moves, Soundspace, Weather and much more.
We were at this station for at least 10 minutes, it was fun.
Holy smokes Batman and Robin!
A perfect end to a day of great fun.
Roasting peeps over a campfire at Kelly and Jonathan's house.
