Let it snow!

It's finally beginning to look a lot more like winter around here.
It has felt like winter for a while.
Henry's smiley face says, "Yay it snowing!"

This is what we woke up to on Saturday morning.  This was only about 6" of snow.
A tradition in my family is to take a picture of your patio to see how much snow has fallen based on the size of our "snow cake".  The chairs look pretty cool in this picture too.

Henry is all geared up and ready to play in the snow.  Henry refers to his coat as a "puffer" coat.  He told us once that he fell down on the cement but he was okay since he had his puffer coat on.  Hahaha!

We were all excited for Henry to break in his new sled he got for Christmas.

 Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
The sled works great!

 Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Werth!

Sledding wore Joe out!

 Pretty fresh snow!

Wow, looks like our snow cake can serve more people now.
Our estimated measured snowfall was 12-13".

All this snowfall = not a good situation for those with satellite TV.  Our dish was out from late Saturday night until Monday at Noon.  Yes, this means we were forced to stream the Superbowl from a laptop to our TV.  It worked quite well.  The major bummer was not being able to see all the commercials.  Only a few of the commercials were streamed online.  Commercials are usually the highlight/main purpose of watching the game for me.  Luckily, I heard the commercials weren't that great this year.  Plus, we can still see most of them online.  I like the live action PAC-Man commercial.

On Monday, a snow day from school resulted in Henry taking inventory of all of his cars and trucks.  Airplanes, helicopters and motorcycles were excluded in this count.  The above total of 86 was just the beginning...! I recently told Henry, "I was pretty sure he had over 100 cars and trucks."  I mentioned this as we were trying to figure out what Henry could bring 100 of to school for his 100 days of school celebration.

Once I assisted Henry in his search, the total count grew by 59 cars for a total of 145.
I know I stashed many of the "missing" cars/trucks to be out of sight on purpose!
The final count, reminds us that it was an excellent idea for us to NOT get Henry anymore cars and trucks for Christmas last year.
