Thanksgiving and more...!

Check out the cool house Henry and I made. See his name in it?

All my boys!
If anybody is a true train enthusiast then you must check out the Train Show that is held at the DuPage County fair grounds once a month. Wow, talk about train overload. It was a fun thing to check out but one visit is enough for us.

Joe conducting the train and Henry assisting.

Too bad they couldn't run the Packers train.

Joe was off the whole week of Thanksgiving since he has a lot of time off left this year. He managed to get a few things done off his "honey-do" list. He did enjoy a Thanksgiving Feast at Henry's daycare on the 21st. After they ate all the kids gathered and sang a special song for their guests, "El Pavo" (The Turkey in Spanish). Joe's not really sure what the song was about but he said it was super cute. I'm sad, I missed it.

When Henry was asked what he was thankful for at school, he said, "books"!  Later they asked the kids why we celebrate Thanksgiving and Henry answered, "I don't know."

We hope everybody enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends.  We stayed home this year and celebrated it with the Werth's.

Max (6yrs) and Henry (3yrs)

Max (Joe's cousins son) and Henry had a grand ol' time running around and playing together on Thanksgiving at Aunt Debbie's house.  Later, Henry was quite hot so we had to take his shirt off.

Mmm, Henry liked the apple pie and ice cream.

We'll leave you with this special  excerpt from a song...

The countdown to Christmas is on...

  1. Nice song Henry! Ha ha. You know it's a good party and meal when you need to take your shirt off.

  2. What is he singing? He is always so cheerful. Did Joey have to sit in one of the little chairs to eat his Thanksgiving feast at school?
