Apple pickin' and fall fun...

We kicked off fall this year with our annual trip to the Jonamac Orchard with our friends Kelly and Jonathan.  Due to the blast of heat in March and then freezing temps. in April the apple crop this year suffered greatly. They were only picking 3 kinds of apples. We still had fun and Bob joined us this year too.

After apple pickin' we went out to the pumpkin patch.  Henry thought he could push Jonathan around the pumpkin patch...

Ahh, a stroll with Jonathan through the patch worked much better.

Henry was amazed with how the pumpkins start out as flowers and then turn into baby green pumpkins before growing up and turning orange. It was definitely too early to bring home a pumpkin for Halloween.

We were happy to discover that Henry gets in for free in the petting zoo/play area of the orchard. Joe and I still had to pay, to supervise him. Well, we did go down one of the slides too, it was a fun slide. Kelly and Jonathan stayed on the outside and snapped some great pictures of us. Thanks, K&J.

Henry loved the duck races; we should have known he would since water was involved.

Henry never passes up driving any vehicle.

Weeeeee!

It took quite a few trys to get this great pic.

After Joe and I fed the donkey, Henry was ready to feed him.
We love seeing/looking for 2 donkeys that are always by each other, when we drive by a local horse farm.

The goats had silly tongues, Henry said.

Kelly likes llamas so I had to include one of the many pics she took of this llama.
Llama, llama, mad at mama...for not sharing much of our food with her! She just wasn't cute like the other animals. I think it was her gnarly looking teeth.

This slide was really fun. Henry went down it many times.
You could hear him giggling all the way down, so cute.

HAPPY FALL TO ALL!

  1. Great family photo on the hay bales! That is Christmas card material. Henry has big smiles, what a cutie. Goats do have weird tongues.
