I was happy to attend this event that I had planned and coordinated for the 17 international guests we hosted at my office for 5 days last week.
This event was a Chicago Architectural Cruise, on the Chicago River, aboard Chicago's First Lady. We had the boat all to ourselves so that was nice too.
Luckily, the weather mostly cooperated for us. It was a nice and very informative cruise.

| This will always be the Sears Tower in my mind (now the Willis Tower). |
We had appetizers, dinner and an open bar while on the cruise.
After eating dinner we went out on to Lake Michigan to see the Chicago skyline.
This was the best part of the tour.
Some of the international visitors were surprised to see us "locals" taking pictures too.
I've never seen the Chicago skyline from this view.
While we were on the lake, the wind started to pick up and it did start to rain lightly but luckily we all had plenty of time to snap some great pictures.
Navy Pier.
I just missed getting a neat picture with lightening.
Grrr...even smart phone cameras have delays.
This week we have another group of international guests arriving. Thankfully, it's only 9 visitors this week and the only outing is a nice dinner but it still takes lots of coordinating and planning to host them for 4 days.
I'll be very happy, when I see the last guest off in their limo to the airport at the end of this week.
