13 Months

Sorry, no more monthly Tiger buddy pictures for Henry. Although somebody did suggest we should keep on doing them annually until he's 18, that would be funny!


Henry has made many strides (literally) this past month. His biggest accomplishment yet is WALKING! (See previous post for walking videos.)

For the record Henry starting taking steps in mid October (actually his 1st step was on 10/2/10) and is officially walking as of early November. He can stand up from the middle of the floor and now he loves to carry things in both hands too.


This week we took Grandma Hested shoe shopping with us since we got a gift card for Henry's birthday from her and Papaw. We got a great deal on a pair with flexible soles for new walkers at an Outlet store. He measured at 4.5 so we got size 5's for some room to grow!

Henry was in heaven at the shoe store since he loves shoes so much. He looked so small to be "toddling" around in the shoe aisles.

Every night before bed Henry walks to our shoe bench and excitedly opens it and puts Daddy's shoes away. Joe is quite happy about not having to put his shoes away anymore.


Since Henry has so many teeth already (12) Mommy has been making sure to brush his teeth at least twice a day or 3 times, once after each meal. So far, Henry loves it!When you hold up his toothbrush he gets a big grin on his face and squeals with excitement. Too bad he doesn't keep his mouth open like that while you brush his teeth.

One afternoon we got a chance to go for a walk through a nature trail near our house to enjoy the fall scenery and super warm temperatures we've been having.
