Happy 10 Months Henry!

Time continues to fly by when there's a baby in our house! It's also getting hard to take the monthly Tiger pictures with Henry since he is really on the move now and he's fast too!

This picture we took right before Henry tumbled off the chair:
Notice the callus's he's building up on his knees now that he is offically crawling up on his knees (as of early August). He also pulls himself up on everything and anything that he possibly can. He's learned the word "NO" now too so that is good.

We discovered that Henry loves music, the good stuff too. He stares at the stereo in the corner and waves bye-bye at it in between songs. He really likes Prince, James Brown and anything with an acoustic guitar. He did not like Otis Redding. While songs were still playing he would wave bye-by at the stereo, it was funny. We will have to start playing some of those kiddie music songs too.

In early August, we headed back to central Iowa for a BIG family reunion on Jalene's, Mom's side of the family. Check out the crowd that showed up: Needless to say name tags were a must!

On the way home from visiting one of Henry's great Grandma's we had to stop at the Reiman Gardens in Ames, IA to check out the Gnome Exhibit they were having. There were 50 gnomes displayed throughout the gardens that were decorated by local organizations. Here's Henry and a biker gnome:
Henry was quite mellow when we first arrived since he fell asleep in the car on the way there. He NEVER reclines while sitting in his strollers.

Daddy, Henry and Snorre Gnome:

Mommy and a butterfly gnome:

The best gnome of all time and also the World's Largest Concrete Gnome:
He weighs in at 3,500 pounds and measures 15 feet tall.

We also visited a really neat Butterfly Garden while at the Gardens. Henry was waving at the many butteflies we saw.

Did you know butterflies only live for 2 weeks?

We can't wait for Henry to learn how to pick up after himself:

What a mess...

Anybody have any tips on how to stop a baby from grinding his (7) teeth? Ugh, it's such an awful sound.

  1. Great update Jalene. Joe and the world's biggest gnome is awesome, what a great picture! Henry, you are getting cuter by the minute. Have fun exploring now that you're on the move.
